Once upon a time not so long ago there was this website, then there was a professional, smart and trendy official website for the Things (www.10000things.tv) as well, but it ran out of money just a little while after Polydor (heard of them?), dropped the Things from their label.

"The music business is a cruel & shallow money trench, a long plastic hallway where thieves & pimps run free & good men die like dogs for no good reason..... there is also a negative side." Hunter S Thompson

10,000 THINGS' OFFICIAL WEBSITE

"Having formed two years ago in Leeds, 10,000 Things have set out to be rock’n’roll, pure and simple. They sing songs about their lives, (chasing girls, avoiding the rent man and generally having a good time) and produce some of the most exciting live shows around. The second single ‘Titanium’ followed on from their limited edition indie debut and showcases everything that is great about this phenomenal new band and is an essential listen to anyone interested in some of the most exhilarating new music available." HMV, Sept 2004
10,000 THINGS on the www   "Mixing filthy blues riffs and throaty soul howling, this Leeds sextet are about as zen as a kick in the knackers......" NME, Aug 2004
GIGS & TOUR DATES   "10,000 Things are the band you wanted to be in when you were a kid, the Jim'll Fix It chance to play dirty sleazy riffs and wail boisterous, filthy lyrics until your lungs bleed."  LeedsMusicScene
10,000 IMAGES   "Live, 10,000 Things' stew of 50's rock 'n' roll, MC5 and the New York Dolls is swimming in a thick gravy of gloriously dumb fun" NME
10,000 THINGS' Archive   "They are both dapper and brilliantly vile, punk and rock 'n' roll... risk life and limb to be there!" BBC Oxford
10,000 THINGS @ Polydor   "To study Buddhism is to study the self. To study the self is to forget the self. To forget the self is to be awakened by the 10,000 things." Zen Master Dogen, 1233

The principles of Music and Living aren't all that different, we think,

"Wouldn't you say, Pooh?"

"Say what?", asked Pooh, opening his eyes.

"Music and Living - "

"The same thing", said Pooh.

What do you think? If most commercially available modern music is bad (and if it's neither good nor bad, it might easily be nothing-music), then there is a strong tendency for "the record-buying public", either in desperation or because they know no better, to mistakenly(?) decide that that which is not as bad as the rest, is good music.
