Interlaken 

Sorry - a slow page to open...........................

I lifted this picture map from a poster based on a pamphlet I acquired on a family holiday back in the 70s. Perhaps I'd better explain it: 

This "map" is of the central section of the Bernese Oberland viewed from the north. Interlaken, (strangely enough!), is the town between the two lakes, (Brienzersee to the left and Thunersee to the right). Running south from Interlaken are the valleys which lead to Lauterbrunnen and to Grindelwald. The furthest right valley leads to Kandersteg from whence we later headed on south to Zermatt and beyond.

Directly below ............ now is the Eiger, then the Mönch and the Jungfrau, (if your screen resolution is at 800 x 600, that is).
