10,000 Things got together 2 years ago in Leeds and are now part of a new scene that's been emerging from the city for some time. Following their first British tour in November 2003, the band played a series of gigs in Jan/Feb of 2004 along with the Blueskins and the Cribs - two other new bands on the UK circuit. It all started hotting up on Feb 16th 2004 when their first EP, Foodchain, came out. Very soon it was being played on radio stations nationwide and attracting rave reviews from the Press. For NME and the Guardian, they are a band to watch out for in 2004, while the Times sees them as the "Leeds Oasis". In early March 2004, the band will start recording their first album; it will be produced by Phil Brown, famous for his work with the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley. And with their line-up including both drummer and percussionist, they're certainly not lacking in clout!
Foodchain is the debut EP from the explosive 6-piece Leeds-based band who have already been hailed by NME as "the New Yorkshire Dolls". They are literally taking the land of Albion by storm with their adrenalin-fuelled gigs, and it surely won't be long before they hit Europe. The four tracks on the EP produced by Phil Brown give an excellent taste of what to expect from their forthcoming album ...
