270204: Formés il y a 2 ans à Leeds, 10,000 Things font partie d'une nouvelle scène émergeant de cette ville depuis quelques temps maintenant. Après une première tournée nationale en novembre 2003, le groupe donne en ce début d'année une série de concerts en compagnie des Blueskins et des Cribs, eux aussi nouveaux venus de la scène anglaise.

Tout s'accélère avec la sortie le 16 février 2004 de leur premier EP, Foodchain, rapidement diffusé sur la majorité des radios et encensé par la presse : le NME et le Guardian les décrivent comme un des groupes à suivre en 2004 tandis le Times voit en eux les Oasis de Leeds !

Le groupe débutera à partir du mois de mars l'enregistrement de son premier album avec le producteur Phill Brown, connu pour avoir déjà travaillé avec les Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix et Bob Marley. Avec leur line-up composé entre autres de deux batteurs, le groupe ne semble pas manquer d'arguements ! soundofviolence.

10,000 Things got together 2 years ago in Leeds and are now part of a new scene that's been emerging from the city for some time. Following their first British tour in November 2003, the band played a series of gigs in Jan/Feb of 2004 along with the Blueskins and the Cribs - two other new bands on the UK circuit.

It all started hotting up on Feb 16th 2004 when their first EP, Foodchain, came out. Very soon it was being played on radio stations nationwide and attracting rave reviews from the Press. For NME and the Guardian, they are a band to watch out for in 2004, while the Times sees them as the "Leeds Oasis".

In early March 2004, the band will start recording their first album; it will be produced by Phil Brown, famous for his work with the Rolling Stones, Jimi Hendrix and Bob Marley. And with their line-up including both drummer and percussionist, they're certainly not lacking in clout! 

‘Food Chain' è il debutto dell’esplosivo sestetto di Leeds, già osannati dal settimanale inglese NME come i ‘New York-Shire Dolls’. Con i loro concerti adrenalinici stanno letteralmente conquistando la terra d’albione e presto la carica non potra che arrivare anche qui. Foodchain is the debut EP from the explosive 6-piece Leeds-based band who have already been hailed by NME as "the New Yorkshire Dolls". They are literally taking the land of Albion by storm with their adrenalin-fuelled gigs, and it surely won't be long before they hit Europe. The four tracks on the EP produced by Phil Brown give an excellent taste of what to expect from their forthcoming album ... 

Tras dos años en ruta por bares y clubs ingleses, 10,000 Things debutan en 2004 con un EP llamado de la misma manera que el grupo. Aclamados por el público y por la prensa la banda inglesa se ha sentido preparada para asumir la responsabilidad de grabar una cuantas canciones en un sencillo pero intenso EP. Editado por el sello Domino/ Dusty Company, ha contado con la participación de Phil Brown, productor de renombre por su colaboración en canciones como ‘Stairway To Heaven’ o ‘Sympathy for the Devil’. Las críticas por parte de la prensa no podían ser mejores, expresiones como “Un-fucking-believable” o etiquetas como “the sixties band I’ve ever seen” o “The New Yorkshire Dolls”, son algunos ejemplos de los elogios que han recibido. Su popularidad ha aumentado por su reciente show, junto a las siempre fantásticas Queens of Noize, en Candem St, y por actuar junto a bandas como Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Ian Brown o Snow Patrol.
