Here, most unusually, is a very poor review of the Things' performance. It's by some blogger of whom I've never heard, (and I'm sure we never will again). I'd go so far as to say that, apart from a reference to poor attendance, it is wildly inaccurate. Why? Well, I phoned Will just after this gig and I doubt I've ever heard him as buzzin' as he was at that time, and you don't end up buzzin' if you've just played a poor set, do you. He told me that before the gig Hugo Burnham had approached a few of the Things and said that he'd downloaded their version of Damaged Goods and that it was "fackin' brilliant" and they'd "be a set of cants" if they didn't play it that night. They'd intended not to, but they did.

These are, I think, some of Linda's very best images. The last shot is so damn good you can HEAR IT!!!!!!!!!!
