Damn, but I do enjoy soundchecks, even if I'm only listening from outside a venue.

Anticipation of the music to come fires me up as the band show off their flashiest (and often totally irrelevant licks). Drummers make the most thunderous din, mics howl and vocalists shout at a black teeshirt behind the desk.

If there was an album of top quality soundchecks, I'd buy it.
