170703: Little Sister play a (scheduled) 45min set at Bar Pacific, Leeds, UK. Tremendous atmosphere, completely packed out. Audience shrieks for Hendrix material, Will goes into Izabella and Voodoo Chile and the band comes off stage another 45mins later.

030703: from, Non instrument playing waster from Preston, (it says): "Excellent gig last night, cannot thank Will enough for that. My mate John loved it too. Sympathy for the Devil, man, I will tell that story to my grandchildren."

030703: from Mice Elf, (it says) of a Will Newman solo gig: "Years of playing pub blues in pubs to pub goers has given me post-traumatic stress disorder which reawakens whenever I now hear the blues (I've erupted in boils this morning) - howsoever, the more 'adventurous' stuff to'ards the end of the night was exemplary. If You want Me To Stay and L&H, (Love and Happiness), are two of my all-time top toons and, (Will), the dudester's interpretation of them in a post-Kerouacian-blues-troubadour-stylee was blinging, not to mention 'da bomb'.

201202: There's life in the young dog yet - Will, Stobb and Owen Griffiths reunited after 16 months for 5 songs at The Primose. And again on 220503, a gig at Sandinistas, Leeds.

Day One at the 2001, last ever, and rightly so, Bishopstock Music Festival, Exeter, UK - George, Stobb & Will set off early in pursuit of a particularly elusive festival vibe.

Unfortunately, deceitful, or ill-informed and very disorganised organisers ensured that the overall vibe was NOT good.

250401, The Elbow Rooms, Leeds: "At around 1am LITTLE SISTER, freshly promoted to the headline spot, fired up their take on the kind of rootsy-rock beloved of the Crowes and Faces...., these are three youngsters with ability beyond their tender years and (they) produced a wonderful fruity guitar-led sound with massive toe-tapping potential." Jonny Walton in Leeds Music Scene.

Little Sister were named after the Stevie Ray Vaughan cover of Hank Ballard's "Look At Little Sister".

Despite the name there never was any sexual ambiguity about the band...... except for that one night...... Halloween, 2000, Will's 21st birthday and the gig at the Royal Park Cellars, Hyde Park, Leeds, UK. Much of the evening was recorded on digital video, but this poor photograph, (showing Owen Griffiths on bass), along with two songs on a bootleg CD may well be all that remains.

Despite, or perhaps because, they were such very good and entertaining musicians, Little Sister gave early and clear indications of a joint inability to take anything seriously.

On the back of the modified, but unsigned postcard from which the Spanish Will had emerged it reads, "I found this postcard and it reminded me of you lot. (I also found two T-shirts and some other postcards + some toothpaste").
